Open Gardens June 2019
On 22nd – 23rd June we opened 18 gardens to the public in the Cumnor area. As the photographs show, the gardens were very varied in size and type, from cottage gardens to floral gardens, vegetable and fruit gardens, gardens with established trees and shrubs, and large gardens with distinct rooms. It was probably be the biggest display of plants, shrubs, trees and gardens put on in Cumnor for a very long time.
The proceeds from tickets and refreshments were given to local charity Flexicare, which supports families with disabled children. Altogether over £3100 was raised for their work. The chairman later presented a cheque to Flexicare’s manager in one of the opened gardens.
