The Club

We are based in the parish of Cumnor on the west side of Oxford.  We have around 180 members, united in a love for gardens and gardening.  We normally organise Spring and Autumn Shows each year, usually in Cumnor Village Hall, and have three or four day visits to gardens each year.  Some years we have a 5-day tour to visit gardens further afield, and other years we host open gardens around Cumnor.  There are usually three social meetings a year with a speaker, as well as an AGM each March, also with a speaker. For a summary of our plans for the current year, please see CGC Programme 2020. Sadly most of our activities have had to be cancelled as a result of the coronavirus.

New members are always very welcome, irrespective of knowledge or expertise in gardening; for more information on how to join, please get in touch via the Contacts page.

Our next meeting is our Winter Social.  The speaker on 25th January will be Tony Russell, the well-known garden tour leader, author and broadcaster.  The subject will the “The Gardens of Wales” and will be by Zoom.  Please let us know via Contacts if you are interested.
